Ally currently has one sitcom and two features in development. Her short films, which she writes and directs, have screened at festivals that include Outfest, Frameline, Inside Out TO, the Whistler International Film Fest, the Melbourne Queer Film Festival and the LA Comedy Fest. Ally also worked as a story editor on the second and third seasons of the Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara fronted half hour comedy series, Schitt's Creek, which airs on CBC and Pop TV.
In 2015 she took part in the Samsung Emerging Directors Showcase at TIFF and the short film Him, which she wrote and co-directed, was chosen as the winner of a contest judged by Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody. She was also recently awarded the Inside Out and Harold Greenberg Short to Feature Award for her script, The Inherent Traits of Connor James. She is also developing another feature in Canada called Brooke & Sam with the Harold Greenberg Fund and Barn 12 producer, James Weyman, who previously managed the Ontario Media Development Corporation. And she was chosen as one of Film Independent's 2018 Directing Lab fellows for the feature she wrote and will be directing called The Hiding House.
